Helpful Hints from Hell

Posted by Nora Quick on Monday, August 18, 2014, In : Contests
Hello friends. First the good news: Out of the Past (Part 3) won 1st place in the Literortica Reader's Choice Awards for August 2012. I guess Laurel & Manu are just a little behind on tallying so it was just awarded now two years later.

It's great to find that out. Admittedly, I kind of wish I had discovered this earlier. See, OOTP and the loose sequel Love On the Run were my ode to 1980's pulp novels. My guilty pleasure. Sandy beaches, a deadly mystery, casual sex, and buried secrets making ...

Missives From the Darkside

Posted by Nora Quick on Friday, October 4, 2013, In : Contests
Okay, this'll be short and sweet, twice this fucking site/editor crashed while saving, so here we go staccato:

1. The italics error in A Deadly Legacy Part 11 on literotica will be corrected soon
2. The penultimate chapter of Secret Desires will be posted on soon
3. Here is the cover for the forthcoming Hidden Magic:

Lastly, I will be entering 2-3 short-medium stories in the Halloween contest on literotica. More on that soon. Until later, happy reading!

Vote Early, Vote Often!

Posted by Nora Quick on Saturday, October 6, 2012, In : Contests
I have 2 stories (of 3 planned ones) in the Literotica Halloween Contest. Please my friends, read them and vote!

First up is the short 4,500 word (on Literotica that's 2 pages) erotica horror Something Wicked This Way Came. It's a short story about Gina, attending a sexy reunion Halloween party only to meet a masked man who seduces her. But just who is he? More importantly...what is he?

Next we have the novella Wolf Tale: The Magic which is part of the Wolf Tales universe. It's the story of Eli...

Serial Stories & 600 Word Story Contest on Lulu

Posted by Nora Quick on Friday, November 4, 2011, In : Contests
For those of you who found me through you're probably familiar with my story on there "Darkness Calling." I have just uploaded the penultimate chapter and am almost done writing the final chapter. After a few years on this I have to admit, I'm glad to be saying goodbye.

The problem with writing serial stories is that it will always, 100% of the time, take longer than you expect. Life happens. In my case with this story I took almost 2 years off due to some major life changes, an...

Work Halted on "The Longest Midnight" & Halloween Contest Results

Posted by Nora Quick on Sunday, October 30, 2011, In : Contests
It's been a very busy time with a lot of changes happening recently. My writing partner Susan Droste has some family commitments that necessitate us taking a break from writing the first novel of the Something Wicked series.

Additionally, my story "Morrigan's Curse" did not win anything, despite being in 2nd place for last 3 of the 4 weeks of the contest. There seemed to be some funny things going on with voting sweeps that made little or no sense. Frankly I'll keep positing stories on literot...

New Story "Morrigan's Curse" In's Halloween 2011 Contest

Posted by Nora Quick on Monday, October 3, 2011, In : Contests
Morrigan's Curse is a 11,989 word short story submitted in the Halloween 2011 Contest. The tale of one of Morrigan's warriors, Cillian, and his true love Siobhan begins with their deaths and takes some spooky twists and turns. Set primarily in modern day, on a Halloween night in the world of high fashion, Siobhan has been reincarnated into the body of Kelly, direct decedent of the man who killed Siobhan and Cillian. Cillian, a ghost, is allowed to take corporeal form every Samh...
