Updates on My Free Stories

Posted by Nora Quick on Sunday, December 7, 2014, In : Site Updates & News
Since 2007 I've been a loyal writer on Literotica. I've won 4 awards on there and had some great experiences (except in the forums. Sadly, like any site, the forum is just filled with trolls because the poor mods are vastly outnumbered). I recommend you check out Literotica.com if you enjoy erotic stories (and even non-erotic ones, there's everything there.)

I had predicted story orders before but of course there was a reshuffling thanks to the interminable work on making The Violin Case work ...

Writing 102: 2-F Fun Facts About Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder

Posted by Nora Quick on Monday, December 10, 2012, In : Writing 102
This is the final lesson of the Writing 102 series. This is the last lesson that you should read while writing your first draft, and today I'll show you how to conquer the nagging urge to make changes to previous passages while writing.

In the immortal words of Mr. Peanut: "Tonight's the night we ALL go nuts!"

First up, why should you resist it? Well, making such changes is the number two reason some writers can never finish a manuscript. Back in writing 101 I explained the number one reaso...

Creating Your Own Landscape

Posted by Nora Quick on Saturday, May 19, 2012,

I write this rewatching Stardust the film. I confess though Neil Gaiman is awesome I have a hard time reading most of his work, but the film adaptations are much more accessible. Why? Because Gaiman has the most completely unique landscape of any author I have ever encountered. Though it makes him slightly inaccessible to me, that's a good thing.

Many Gaiman stories have certain parts that make as much sense to me as this sign. Credit

Every writer should have their own landscape. What is a l...

Two Legged Lampreys & The Women Who Love Them

Posted by Nora Quick on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, In : Strangeness

Welcome all, I hope you survived the holiday. Today's post isn't going to be on writing so much, it's more of an update/explanation/rant. Of course a rant. Also, this was originally written on Monday 4/9/12 but Yola had issues that prevented it from being posted until now.

I don't know how computers work exactly, but this seems like a reasonable explanation

First off, to my literotica fans, I do apologize there has been no update on Fey World as promised. Times have been lean on my end and I...

The Longest Midnight Has Begun!

Posted by Nora Quick on Tuesday, November 8, 2011, In : Books
Work on the forthcoming urban fantasy novel "The Longest Midnight" has officially begun. Based off an idea I had some years ago it was plotted entirely by myself and Susan Droste. Due to conflicting schedules we've reached a good compromise to co-author and keep the tone even. I will write the 1st draft alone based off the plot & characters we created together, we will edit for content together, and Susan will do the final edit.

It is the story of 4 people who come together at a time of trans...

Work Halted on "The Longest Midnight" & Halloween Contest Results

Posted by Nora Quick on Sunday, October 30, 2011, In : Contests
It's been a very busy time with a lot of changes happening recently. My writing partner Susan Droste has some family commitments that necessitate us taking a break from writing the first novel of the Something Wicked series.

Additionally, my story "Morrigan's Curse" did not win anything, despite being in 2nd place for last 3 of the 4 weeks of the contest. There seemed to be some funny things going on with voting sweeps that made little or no sense. Frankly I'll keep positing stories on literot...
